Mecklenburg's largest island has a lot to offer everyone, no matter what your age. Old manor houses and farms, cobbled avenues and the old castle wall complex invite you to enjoy an interesting day trip here. The history of the Wustrow peninsula is as varied as its natural world. Initially inhabited by a handful of farmers, during the war, Wustrow became a military restricted area and later a safe haven for thousands of refugees.
