Ronny Siewert
"Unpretentious, down-to-earth, honest, friendly and his nose not higher up in the air than it should be."
(Hannes Finkbeiner, Kochimpulse)
Ronny Siewert was born with a passion for cooking. Born in Nienburg an der Saale in the state of Sachsen-Anhalt in 1978, from a very young age, he was fascinated by the goings-on in the kitchen and curious about everything to do with the matter. He spent the major part of his free time in the kitchen of his father, himself a chef, copying everything he saw. His father taught him the basic principles to help him on his way to becoming a young and successful chef.
After completing secondary school, Ronny Siewert trained as a professional chef with Henning Steller in the Maritim Hotel in Halle. There then followed six formative years with Heinz Winkler in the Residenz Heinz Winkler in Anschau, in Dieter Müller's restaurant in the Schlosshotel Lerbach and with Helmut Thieltges in the Waldhotel Sonnora. In 2005, Siewert became the chef at the Chezann restaurant in Warnemünde and he cooked his way to his first Michelin star.
Since March 2008, he has headed the kitchen at the gourmet restaurant Friedrich Franz in the Grand Hotel Heiligendamm. Even before the winter break, Ronny Siewert and his team successfully defended their Michelin star and increased the number of Gault Millau points from 16 to 17. Likewise, Siewert spearheaded again the list of the best chefs in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
